Tigers are ferocious animals – and for one to share food with a dog seems like an impossibility. The impossible did happen! In our featured video, the huge tiger gave up the bone that it was eating to give to a Jack Russell.
This footage filmed in Jugomaro Predator Park, located in South Africa, documents how a tiger shared food to a dog. This predator park is home to many other animals to include lions and other rare cats. Jugomaro is a wildlife sanctuary.
Peace in the sanctuary
The animals in this predator park thrive in peace. As the tiger treats the dog as a friend or maybe feeds it because it has adopted it, their harmonious relationship warms the heart. It is amazing to see animals that get along so well, even if they are of different species.
Due to hundreds of years of codependency, it is natural for dogs to be our companions. However, some situations would make a dog revert to the hard-coded instinct of their wolf ancestry. When a dog gets annoyed, hungry, or in an undesirable situation, their aggressive reaction is due to their base instinct.
Taming a tiger
A domesticated dog or tamed tiger can be safe to be around, especially when it is well-tended and raised. However, no matter how well-trained a tiger is, keep in mind that it is one of the deadliest predators on earth. Despite efforts to tame a tiger, their predatory instinct remains.
Animals that live in harmony
When animals like these two enter a covenant to live in harmony, the world gets to be a better place. A tiger, even if it is predatory, has the nurturing instinct as it cares for it’s young and will aid another animal so that it can survive.
