Growing up with your forever paw buddy is a dream come true for most children. Lucky are those who had been given a chance to do so. To dog lovers out there who happen to be parents as well, would you allow your kid to grow up with a pup?
Well, it turned out that when a child is raised with a pet dog, it can have positive effects on his/her development. It enables children to learn about kindness, compassion and sharing at an early age. Having a forever buddy, a playmate and a sibling rolled into one equals to a wonderful childhood experience.
On a short video posted on YouTube, you can see how a toddler deals with his uncooperative pup. The child’s reaction was really something that will warm your heart.
The video started with the little boy who was playing with his ball in the living room. The pup was standing on the family’s couch in a well-behaved manner as it watches the kid. The playful kid, maybe a little bored, decided to play with his pup.
After making sure that the dog was able to sniff the ball, he threw it with all his might and mumbled: “go.” It’s as if he was commanding the dog to fetch the ball for him. However, the sloppy dog did not go along, maybe because the toddler’s baby talk was hard to understand, or the dog just doesn’t feel like playing at all.
What happened next was unexpected. He tried to convince the dog to search for the ball by gently pushing it, but to no avail. The boy did not even throw a fit. Instead, he approached the pup and hugged it tight and tenderly caressed it as if telling the pup “It’s okay, buddy.”
