Watching the news about houses catching fire, you would sometimes wonder what you would try and save first. You’ve even heard about some people being able to carry heavy stuff out they normally couldn’t carry.
Tragedy strikes when you least expect it. Hopefully, that day doesn’t ever come so you won’t have to make a decision on what or who to save first.
Jose Guzman, however, had to make that decision when their house caught fire. Firefighters were already there and were working to control the fire.
Jose took it upon himself to run inside and save his best buddy, Gabbana. Risking his own life for his dog, he ran inside their house to look for their dog.
Gabbana, their family dog was the only one in the house. He was inside the bathroom when Jose found him. Luckily, it was the only place that hasn’t caught fire yet.
Jose’s daughter and wife were both someplace else during the fire. It was fortunate so Jose only had Gabbana to save.
Jose’s best friend needed him so he did not hesitate to run past the firefighters despite being told to stay and back away from the house.
Jose came out of the house with Gabbana who both looked fine. However, they did suffer from some burns but are expected to recover quickly.
Jose shared in an interview with a news station that Gabbana is part of their family. His decision to go and save her was due to the fact.
Unfortunately, Jose and his family lost all of their stuff in the fire. All of Jose’s tools that he uses for work had been eaten by the fire.
Jose’s sister helped his family by creating a GoFundMe account to raise money and help them start over. People must have recognized his heroic deed as the account already raised a large sum of money.
This incident was caught on video by a passerby. You will appreciate more of Jose’s heroism and love for their dog, Gabbana – a family member.
