No truer words were ever spoken when they said that there are some things money can’t buy. Actually, there are a lot of things that money definitely cannot buy. So we have to make sure that we identify them as soon as possible before it’s too late.
For this master fisherman from Melbourne, Australia, one of the top things that are considered priceless in his life, isn’t a material thing actually, but it’s his dog, Jack. This expert seaman is Alfonse Attard. He has been fishing all his life, so one may think that his fishing boat would mean the world to him, but Attard’s life experiences have taught him otherwise.
One fateful day on the 5th of January, Attard sailed out with his trusty first mate, Jack for his usual fishing rounds. However, their boat capsized, tossing Attard into the water. The 75-year old fisherman, mustered all of his strength to hold on to his boat as he waited for someone to rescue him.
Fortunately, a nearby boat noticed him and immediately went to their rescue. They pulled Attard onboard and onto safety, but as soon as he was on the deck, he begged his rescuers to look for his dog, Jack. Attard has panicked so much that he forgot about his dog.
Attard and Jack have been together for almost 20 years, and the thought of losing Jack crept into his mind, and Attard became extremely anxious. Some good men volunteered to search for Jack, and it didn’t take long for them to find the poor pup safe and sound.
It turned out that Jack was safely sitting inside the front nose of the boat when the rescuers turned over Attard’s capsized vessel. When they brought Jack over to Attard, he couldn’t contain his emotions and started jumping up and down out of excitement and started crying tears of joy. See their emotional reunion in the video below.
