Google Street View takes the next level of protecting everyone’s privacy. A dog owner discovered it, and her name is Madelyn Rotella. She learned that Google updated the images of her house, so she proceeded on checking it out. She did not expect to receive a hilarious surprise, though.
When she saw the photo of her dog named Legend, she died of laughter. The next thing she did was show the image to her friends and family.
Legend is a lively and funny dog. People she sent the images to was happy to see him on there. Legend, the dog, usually spends his day on a leash outside when the weather is good.
They rescued Legend from his former stray life outside. He loves the sun and laying on the grass. They provided him with utmost comfort they could ever give, but Legend was more comfortable staying in the dirt.
But Legend being in the photo was not the highlight; it was that Google blurred his face to protect his privacy. The Google Street View car roams since 2007, and in 2008, they started blurring the faces of people caught in the camera to protect their privacy. We all did not think it would include dogs and all other animals. I have to say that while it is smart, it seems like they take privacy seriously.
Madelyn posted the pictures on her Facebook profile, and it immediately went viral. The photo received 33,000 likes and thousands of share on Facebook. This photo shows that Google did value our privacy, and they are coming out of their way to convey and spread that message.
It’s just so adorable that humans treat dogs like a human being; it’s the way it’s supposed to be! They’re our family. Check out the photo below:
