A lot of times, we unintentionally get ourselves into trouble, and we need someone to help us get us out of that unfortunate situation. Jasper, a 10-year-old Siberian Husky, is a prime example of this.
The people in a small town of Wells, Maine, were alarmed after they saw Jasper on the roof. The curious Husky either got out through the window and couldn’t go back inside, or simply wanted to breathe some fresh air.
Captain Jeff Nawfel of the Wells Fire Department received a call from the residents about a dog stuck on a roof. He initially thought that it was on the roof of a car, but when they went to the location, it was in a two-story house.
The firefighters answered the neighborhood’s call for help and hurriedly went to rescue the dog. The roof was 15-feet high, and Jasper doesn’t seem to realize the commotion around him.
In the clip below, we can see a member of the fire department climb up the ladder to rescue the seemingly oblivious dog. Jasper doesn’t show any signs of fear and is actually enjoying the attention he’s getting.
The goofy pup, however, was very appreciative of the act of heroism that he greeted the fireman “thank you” kisses and licked him non-stop. The officer then tried to open the window and instructed the dog to go back inside the house.
The Husky, still a little confused, ignored the instructions and continued to happily walk across the roof. After a few minutes, Jasper finally got his act together and went inside the house through the window.
Captain Nawfel and his comrade were all very happy with the outcome of the rescue, especially the loving kisses they received from Jasper. Catch this daredevil in action by watching the video below:
