One moment can change your life forever. Who would have known that this homeless stray dog is about to become a hero? Lauren Hacked of Great Plains SPCA found Bosco limping around an area.
He was underweight and was not getting enough food on the streets. His limp might have come from a possible car accident which shows that this dog has been through so much. He was then brought to the vet to be checked.
Fortunately enough, Bosco had no injuries and was cleared by the vet. Bosco will not only change his life but will be changing someone else’s. Bosco was with Warriors Best Friend Foundation where they train dogs to become service dogs.
Corey is a veteran who served two tours in Iraq. Being an Iraq war veteran changed him, and not in a good way. Corey seemed to be angry all the time, and he had a lot of sleepless nights. His life was falling apart.
During one of his sleepless nights, he was checking service dogs online, and he would always go back to Warriors Best Friend Foundation. He was not sure what to expect; he just knew that he needed to do something for his condition and situation.
It was about six months in for Bosco’s training when Corey reached out to the organization asking about a service dog. When Corey met Bosco, it was love at first sight. For a strong military man, it was nice to see him baby talk Bosco the way he does.
You can see the man’s soft spot. It is amazing to know that his man is dependent and needs Bosco with him and that someone will love Bosco the way Corey does. It is good to get dogs from shelters as it is like making two broken pieces and making it whole; this is according to Corey and people would agree.
