A Marine Veteran suffered and struggled with PTSD after his assignment. His mother witnessed how he suffered and came up with a way to help him. The moment this Marine Veteran opened his gift, the look on his face will bring joy to your heart.
Peter Coukoulis is a Marine Veteran who suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) since three years ago after his assignment in the Marines.
Dena, Peter’s mother, was worried about his son’s condition and looked for possible solutions to help his son cope up with PTSD. She thought that a well-trained service dog could be of help to his son.
The video below shows Peter busy doing something on the dinner table with the rest of the family busily preparing for Christmas. His family hands him over a festively-wrapped gift. It is seen quite clearly on Peter’s face that he was confused about why he got to receive an early Christmas present.
The gift box was slightly open, and it seemed that Peter already has an idea of what could be inside. A bright smile started to show on his face. When the Marine Veteran opened the slightly open gift box, he was surprised to see inside a tiny Beagle puppy.
The look on his face shows how happy he is. He immediately took the puppy out of the box and held it in his arms then hugged it. He even kissed the puppy multiple times. The moment he took the puppy, it’s like there’s an instant connection between the two. Peter was in tears because of joy while the puppy can’t seem to get enough of his new best friend.
The Marine Veteran’s mother, Dena knew that this heartwarming moment is the start of Peter’s new life. The puppy already changed his son’s life that it made him genuinely happy after three years of suffering PTSD.
Share this wonderful moment with family and friends and spread the good vibes!
